We’re so glad you stopped by! This is the official website for the Galloway Village Neighborhood Association (GVNA)—a place to stay informed about what’s happening in our neighborhood, connect with neighbors, and see all the amazing things we’ve accomplished together.
The Galloway Village Neighborhood Association is a busy bunch and we need you! We love this amazing place we call home, and need your participation to keep making a difference in Galloway Village.
2025 Achievements
Preserve
✔ Worked with the City of Springfield Public Works and Tim Rosenbury, Director of Quality of Place Initiatives, during the planning stage of neighborhood roadside landscaping projects to beautify our roadways.
✔ Met with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly | Infrastructure Professionals, City of Springfield, Ozark Greenways, and Springfield–Greene County Park Board to provide a neighborhood perspective regarding the Chadwick Flyer Trail Extension.
✔ Worked to hold the Galloway Village Community Improvement District accountable for the money they have collected on behalf of our neighborhood.
✔ Applied with the Neighborhood Works program, received approval for, and secured installation of a new pedestrian crosswalk on the Sequiota Trail.
Connect
✔ Identified and arranged educational speakers from the Missouri Department of Conservation and City of Springfield Environmental Services who presented information about recycling and tree health during our quarterly meetings.
✔ Organized and held fun community events in coordination with Bambino’s, The Rock, and SGF Kickball.
✔ Worked with Springfield–Greene County Park Board to host Picnic in the Park.
✔ Communicated with Sequiota Elementary School to adopt a neighborhood family for Christmas.
✔ Worked with Sequiota Elementary School and the Neighborhood Advisory Council to hold a Lantern Walk that teaches children about pedestrian safety.
✔ Conducted a Neighborhood Survey to gauge neighborhood priorities.
✔ Set up the GVNA Private Marketplace to facilitate safer Facebook Marketplace transactions.
✔ Participated in the Bass Pro Cheer Challenge and secured a $700 prize for the neighborhood.
Protect
✔ Organized and conducted four stream cleanups and four trash pickups that removed more than 86 bags of trash from our neighborhood as part of the Neat Neighborhoods initiative, sponsored by Hatch Foundation.
✔ Promoted and participated in a Community Partnership of the Ozarks and City of Springfield free neighborhood junk and yard waste cleanup that benefited neighborhood residents.
✔ Communicated with the City of Springfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office to address concerns about the homeless population in the park.
✔ Partnered with United Way Ozarks during the Day of Caring to clean the restroom building — inside and out — at Sequiota Park and spread mulch in play areas.
✔ Met with Mayor Schrag; Steve Childers, City of Springfield Director of Planning & Development; and Bruce Adib-Yazdi, Zone 4 City Councilman; regarding initial input for a Neighborhood Plan.
✔ Supported Chimney Hills in their efforts to protect the neighborhood from overdevelopment.

Each one brings their own unique personality and talents to the table—some are creative and a little goofy, while others are polished professionals or charmingly eccentric. Together, they make a dynamic team that truly reflects the heart of Galloway.
After all, sometimes it really does take a village to oversee a Village—and we’re so proud of the incredible people who represent our board!
